🎵 One disc in, and I’m not sure what to make of the new U2 record. Some of the versions of songs on here sound great (Bad is the best so far), but others (Where The Streets Have No Name, One) are verging on painful.

Hmm. After two discs (20 songs), the ratio of good to not good is pretty low.

@marramgrass yikes. Maybe I'll skip out on listening to it. The Joshua Tree album is my favorite and holds a lot of special memories for me. I don't want to ruin that.

@Burnt_Veggies Might be a wise idea. I've been round the whole thing a couple of times, and I doubt I'll go again. They've taken some of my favourite songs ever and sucked the life right out of them. Some really weird (not in a good way) production decisions, too.

@marramgrass good to know. There was once an album like that from Blues Traveler called Cover Yourself which was reimagined and reworked versions of old songs. When I bought the CD, I was expecting something else. Covers of other bands maybe? At first I was dismayed. Then I gave it a second listen with an open mind and the album has become one of my favorite from them.
