Turns out you can easily setup an Elgato Key Light on Linux by connecting to its default wifi connection, going to http://192.168.62.1:9123/ and plugging in your wifi details. And then pointing Home Assistant at it.

Er, is Mastodon actually using only IPv4 in the background? Trying to spin up an instance that had v4 firewalled out and couldn't follow from that instance, nor could I search that instance from another (to a host I know has working v6). Unfirewalled v4 and it all worked.

We've now entered the 6 months of the year where I complain about leaves. This was empty when I started today (having been full + emptied earlier in the week) and I don't even have any trees.

I started trying to install my own Mastodon instance and gave up at the "Now we just compile Ruby" stage.

Whoever thought pyjama days in November were a good idea obviously didn't think about children who walk to school.

The only time I ever spent the night at the office it was for a middle of the night deployment and I got the next day off as time in lieu. Big fan of working hard and then going home at the end of the day.
