@schwa yeah that's closer to what I was thinking. I'd still try to set it up so that you start by choosing your name and filling in some info. Basically make it appear like you're signing up "for mastodon" immediately and make the server choice just something you do "while signing up."
@bigzaphod @schwa we have a similar issue at work right now. People need to decide up front which system to sign into to perform a task. We’ve pushed the limitations of our architecture decisions onto the customers.
