So far, I'm finding the Web version easier to navigate than the app. App seems to only be people I'm following, but Web version let's me switch to 'Local' which is great fun.

@Coifsh I’m using an app that has Local as an option. I think it’s more like the early days of Twitter - find an app that suits you. The official one is short on features.

@theronster @Coifsh I would love an app that lets me browse other instances local timelines cos this instance seems to mostly just have me posting on it

@theronster @Coifsh @iain is there anything to stop you creating an account on another instance for which you want to view the local timeline?

@iain @mo @Coifsh I was going to suggest that, but if you wanted to hop around and look at loads of different ones that would be a burdensome task.

@Coifsh @iain @theronster that’s probably an app and convention limitation. I can’t think of a good reason why an app can’t unify the local timelines from multiple logged in accounts. Would just need someone to actually make it…

@mo @theronster @Coifsh no, other than the point of federation was so you didn’t need multiple accounts

@iain @Coifsh @theronster meh. This is open source man. You can do what you like man.
