Disconnecting 3.2 million people. What a travesty to foist on people for no reason. Prepayment meters should be banned and everyone who has ever had one compensated.
@alexmace we have one in our new-build home and had no choice in the matter. We were just told by the builder “we have to put these on, and you will need to ask the electricity provider to change it”.
And now we’re about to get credit vouchers for it from the government (£600) so we’re locked into the pre-pay system until we use them (or lose them!)

@alexmace the system for giving assistance with energy bills this winter was a bit messed up in Northern Ireland!
@alexmace no, we have multiple energy companies now. But we have a dysfunctional government that has severely hindered the rollout of the energy bill support.
