Omg as one gets older one gets together with other older people and you discover that as people get older they continue to choose to leave and the list of suicides increases and the people you all know just go and you didn't know they went and it goes by easier than it should. Sigh. I can't imagine where they those people where when they made that call.
I should probably follow this one up to say I am good, but wistful.

It's so prevalent, but not spoken about. A man who is a year younger than me discovered his mother's body after she had chosen the shotgun, when he was 11 years old. My friend in university stepped in front of a train. Another university friend was found at the bottom of a cliff. We hear so much about "single car accidents". My school friend decided enough was enough with a noose in his 50s. My other school friend made a choice to do enough things to finish him at 16.

@oisin I remember starting secondary school in 1989 to the news that one of the older pupils had been found in a nearby park. Starts early.
