@siracusa If you are looking for a shower ready speaker that works flawlessly with Airplay, I can highly recommend the Wonderboom 2. I’ve used one in my shower for a few years. No connection issues. Turn it on and it reconnects to my iPhone immediately. Controls for volume and next track etc work flawlessly.
There is a Wonderboom 3 now, but I can’t comment on it as mine is a 2. I’d be surprised if the 3 wasn’t as good as the previous model.

@siracusa @ianRobinson pretty sure it’s not AirPlay, and is Bluetooth only. I have one (and an original Wonderboom) and it’s a PITA if you have multiple potential users. I’ll be in the middle of getting my shampoo-headed groove on when my wife walks in Bluetooth range and her phone connects. Suddenly I’m listening to her Instagram reels until she disconnects and then I’m having to reach out of the shower to fiddle with my phone.
@mo @siracusa It uses BlueTooth, but it appears in the Airplay list along with my multiple HomePods. As soon as it's turned on, it becomes the target audio output device for my iPhone. It's not linked with any other devices here, so multiple users isn’t an issue for me.
The battery charge lasts for ages as well. I love mine. I bought a spare as a backup, just in case.
