Just finished The Light Fanstastic by Terry Pratchett.
I enjoyed it a lot, I’m not sure if there are more Rincewind books but whilst I enjoyed him as a character, I’m looking forward to reading about another part of the Disc next
@tosbourn @bitflipped for sure! Then get onto my favourite, Wyrd Sisters. Still have my very battered copy I got over 30 years ago.
@midnight_creeper @mo @bitflipped my favourite so far has been either Going Postal or Mort.
@tosbourn @mo @bitflipped Going Postal is such a fun book!
@tosbourn @midnight_creeper @mo @bitflipped Going Postal is my favourite.
@mo @tosbourn @bitflipped Yeah, I think it's worth getting to the later books if you even slightly enjoy the early ones. I still like 'the colour of magic' etc but I feel like Pratchett was still finding his groove there.
There's less (but still some) fantasy spoof from Mort onwards and more focus on political satire and earnest exploration of great characters. For my money, after the initial entries in each sub series ('colour of magic', 'equal rites,' 'guards guards', 'mort'), discworld really finds its 16 elephant feet. 🐢🧙♂️🧙♀️👮💀 Nice to hear you're enjoying them, happy reading! 😁
