@stuart @intheseheels I keep the official app for pushes, but can’t remember the last time I received anything.
Which is weird, in retrospect. I spent a lot of time on Twitter and left it pretty cleanly in the end.
@intheseheels I stopped posting and replying to things on Twitter a long time ago. I’ll reply to DMs but I can’t even remember the last time I received one. I stopped browsing Twitter completely when they blocked 3rd-party clients. I don’t miss it at all.
That first pint after you finish work on your last day for 2 weeks.

Every gr*ber post about Twitter et al needs a footnote saying that he was the one person in the world to think (publicly! loudly!) that Elon would make it better, just like he footnotes every post about Bloomberg reporting. I don’t make the rules, it’s just fair play.

@chartier thanks to all the team. Any plans to do merch again in the future, maybe to celebrate the release? I still wear my Bear t-Shirt with pride. Always gets comments when I wear it to work. Though my colleagues always groan when I use the phrase “my favourite notes app”. It’s like having favourite apps is nerdy or something.
@BeebsyMcA @Dusted my 10yo was giving out about bonfires yesterday because of the wood being burnt. I made the mistake of saying “the wood is the least worst bit; it’s the hatred for other people that is the worst bit”. She burst into tears and said “I just don’t understand why mankind does this to each other”. The kid blows me away every day.

Today I’m launching S3 Files, a client for S3 compatible storage inside the Files app, share sheet, shortcuts and the Finder on Mac.
Technical apps like mine struggle on the App Store. Please tell your S3 loving friends about it.

I’m not liking this whole John Wick / Batfink (“My Wings are like a shield of steel”) dynamic in John Wick Chapter IV. It’s like they introduced a new games mechanic with the Kevlar suits and are overusing it.
@stuart I wonder if bank computers just have a really strong union.
@stuart I like it when my credit card month ends on a Sunday, but the computers have Saturday and Sunday off so I can start ordering things on the Friday evening knowing that I’ll have an extra month to pay for them.
