One of the issues that makes coding so difficult is that things that make it easier require more skill to use. i.e. tests, types, patterns.

If they're implemented incorrectly or in the wrong scenario, these helpers will, at best, slow you down and, at worst, make progress impossible. But when they're there and they are good, it's like being strapped to a rocket pointed at the solution.

The lack of details in the advisory is only a minor impediment for a malicious person who wants to figure out how to implement their own exploit for this vulnerability. Anyone can read the patch that fixes it and figure it out.

TLDR: if you run your own instance, update it ASAP. If an instance you rely on hasn’t updated yet, consider asking its admins to do so. And if they don’t update it soon, you might want to reconsider your choice of instance.

@pablobm no but in my head it reads like "and maybe".
So the regular method call (.foo) comes after the and (&).

Having that in my head probably makes this easy to remember for me.
Maybe it helps you too?

Am I the only one who always struggles to remember if the "safe navigation operator" goes `&.` or `.&`?
