#ELI5 Why is water see through?

I'd never thought about it like this. Wow.

"Solo podrás viajar con la tarifa de ida y vuelta si escoges este descuento en ambos trayectos. (CE06)" -- Seriously Renfe, WTF do you think I'm trying to do??

Well, Renfe's booking webapp. We meet again... ⚔️ 😰

We're looking for some new beta testers for a big update to our Perfect Tempo app.

Perfect Tempo lets you adjust the speed of music - useful for music practice, learning to dance, doing workouts and even just for fun! It works with songs from your Music library, the Files app and the entire Apple Music catalog.

Please take a look and let me know if you find any problems.

So folks, don't forget to check if your Ikea chair is compatible with your screen. I'm not kidding. A thread 🧵.

I've had the problem with my new screen for several weeks now, that every now and then the screen goes black for a few seconds.

Today I had enough and wanted to investigate the problem. So I started changing all the cables, plugging the screen into a different socket, and and and. Nothing helped.

The whole mess with @CrimethInc getting banned from Twitter has reminded me about this poster of theirs I found about ten years ago in Belfast. I still think about it a lot.

Just came across an interesting use case for large language models: assist with writing text in (human) languages that the user is not confident with.

I have in front of me a comment in flawless English, written by someone who I know can't write like that.

On the other hand, the text does read like it was written by an LLM, so this could hinder more than help, depending on the context.

(Also, the comment is not really very useful, but I suspect this is more about the prompter than the LLM).

how you know your brand is in serious trouble: a single friend of mine told a potential date he drove a Tesla and she said "ew"

You can now report a "transgender concern" on a Missouri government website. It would be a shame if it was filled to the brim with garbage submissions.

Also lost my lists. It's possible to export them, but not to import them back.

First issue with the migration: my follows were not imported (ie: it was as if I didn't follow anyone). Fortunately I could use the import/export feature to bring them over.
