I don’t mind getting an item from IKEA that has been returned and repackaged as new, but it’d be nice if they had checked that the returned materials included all parts. The instruction booklet was in two parts, one part folded, the parts packet arrived ripped open, and the parts were wrong (as compared to the booklet).
@atpfm tangentially related to the discussion of AirPods Pro as hearing protection, I usually wear my AirPods Max as ear defenders when I'm mowing the lawn. Every time, without fail, my Apple Watch will give me a Loud Environment warning. I really wish the watch could interrogate the phone to discover that I'm wearing AirPods Max in noise-cancelling mode.

On the web it is being “fireballed”. On Mastodon it is being “Melt(on)ed”. Always a pleasure @lisamelton!!
Transferring an eSIM during migration between two iPhones was a remarkably straightforward experience today. This was my first migration post eSIM adoption and I had visions of lengthy support conversations with my carrier to make it work.
I was convinced that nothing was more straightforward than SIM eject and manual transfer. The reality was so smooth that I’m probably going to convert my kids’ phones over to eSIMs ASAP now.
I'm Maurice Kelly, a software engineer who sold his soul to management. To redeem myself I try to make music, but in reality what I'm doing is making a big pile of synthesisers all in one place and changing how they are connected on a regular basis.
