@antonyjohnston @bazscott my brother and I were a bit younger when it started on C4, so we made do with several pairs of socks rolled up as the ball, and playing in the living room. Coin toss decided who got the end zone that was the sofa, and who got the end zone that was “crash into the living room door”.

I think I’ve ended up with a Madden game on every console I’ve ever owned (except on Switch cause EA insist on missing a perfect platform for a start/stop game).

@sommer there’s one sitting on my wife’s desk right now. Also green. Probably out of charge again, but last time I charged it up it was a perfect time capsule of all the music I synced to it for her back in the noughties!

@marramgrass it’s the fact that I have to hit “Get” to approve a request. I don’t want to get anything. I just want to approve.

@seanddotmedotuk @OpinionatedGeek @shezza_t @bobcardboard I like to think that this due to a typo in a law that said everyone should have access to a banker, and now they have to make bunkers for everyone.

No, YOU stayed up to 1:30am when you noticed that episode 5 of was already available on NowTV.

I’m trying to make Sunday my day where I try to get some modular synth action in. I’ll try to do stuff on other days too, but that’s just a bonus. I feel like I should use a hashtag and of course I want something cutesy and clever. seems too generic, but I can’t think of anything more Modular specific.

That said, I’m really tempted to just use

@lexfri I think when the show is set in England it should be renamed Thou.

@chrisphin unfortunately you’d never be short of guests!

I tried to take the summer off; I got my notice at the start of May and said I wasn’t going to interview until September, but The Fear kicked in and I started looking within weeks.

I did get some good times at home with the family though. Kids were home schooling and on summer holidays for quite a bit. They still wish we could go back to that time!

And you’re so right. Those good times were augmented with Valium and antidepressants.

@chrisphin I was laid off in the early months of the pandemic. It’s been nearly 3 years and I still feel humiliated, embarrassed, and ashamed. It doesn’t help that spent months doing over 30 interviews, and then ended up in a startup that failed, followed by another 30 interviews. My current job has been a lot better, but I still feel hurt about the redundancy.

@simon you should see how many synthesisers and synth modules I own these days. And records.

@joesteel i’m even more excited to see them live in a small venue in Belfast in March. I just hope they don’t fall out before then!

I regret to inform you Mastodon, but your cat will never be as beautiful as this cat.

If anything perfectly sums up my relationship with my wife, it’s the fact that today I found a folder of papers and documents. They were from 2014-15 and in little sections for scanning, filing, shredding, etc. It was an obvious attempt to get me organised. So organised that she put my cheque book in it. A cheque book I’ve been searching for in vain since 2015.

No. YOU went and bought Mutable Instruments style knobs for your Rings clone.

@matt @lexfri not a problem with poaching, man. I like my eggs fried, man.

@dmoren I get a statement every 3 months to tell me that I’ve sold another couple of copies, and that I’ve only got about $8000 left of my advances to clear.

Though some statements say that they had copies returned and that they’ve added the cost to what I have outstanding.
