@opsGordon what softsynths are you using? I still love Zebra by U-he, but I’ve been intrigued by Arturia Pigments
@opsGordon while I’m mostly focussing on my modular gear at the minute, I still love coming back to my PolyBrute. For me, Arturia are the new Korg/Roland/Yamaha. Which is kinda contradictory as Arturia are going back and doing the sort of products that those manufacturers were known for!
@opsGordon that is definitely true. To be fair, nobody needs the subtlety of polyphonic aftertouch when the 80s is screaming KEYTARS!
@acf you are dead to me now.
I understand though. I have family connections in New Zealand too 🙂
@opsGordon is it a workstation? I’d really love to see Roland/Korg/Yamaha come out with a new flagship synth. I feel like they’ve conceded the Jupiter/DX7/DW sector to the competition.
@acf I definitely have the separately available copy of Still. Not actually sure if I have the Live album on CD, but I definitely have the DVD version. I'm basing this on my discogs collection, but CDs were scanned in by my daughter and I think she missed some!
I have the Fragiile Deviations record (though I don't recall paying that much for it). I’m still waiting for The Slip and Year Zero reissues; been Coming Soon for quite some time!
@acf that’s a great collection. Further Down The Spiral is a great release too. I remember realising that The Art of Self Destruction was used in the Chain Gang Levis ad.
I see And All That Could Have Been. Is that the live album or the Still CD? I don’t think my copy of either looks like that.
@acf Pretty Hate Machine is phenomenal. I return to it a lot more frequently than The Downward Spiral.
@lisamelton I love you very much Lisa. 😘
On the web it is being “fireballed”. On Mastodon it is being “Melt(on)ed”. Always a pleasure @lisamelton!!
@joshua dammit. Why you have to remind me that I need to do my taxes!
@acf I can understand that. For the first half an hour I was so frustrated that Ireland were leading despite having very little possession. They might as well have started the half with a head start for all they played.
@acf it was frustrating as hell to have to work against our cousins tonight. Even while I was cheering the Irish tries, my biggest cheers were for the Scottish efforts. My daughter couldn’t understand why I would cheer the opposition, but that’s rugby for you. Your team is always first, but the game is always a very close second!
@rossgrady have you got a few minutes to hear about our lord and saviour @pcalc
@caseyliss is there any chance of a “lookup in IMDB” feature. As much as I’d love to stay within Callsheet forever, I’m increasingly finding that TMDB has incomplete data and I’m having to fallback to the shitshow that is IMDB. I know it would suck a bit to have to do it, but there’s already links out of Callsheet to IMDB Trivia. Going direct to a performer/production page would be appreciated and would mean Callsheet can still be the first port of call.
@vinnycoyne I see JWKS in my day to day work a lot these days!
@shezza_t I worry about the impact that fast fashion has on secondhand shopping. A lot of clothing doesn’t seem to last as long now, because it’s being made to a lower price point. If it doesn’t last for the first owner, it’s not going to make it to the second owner. People are buying for quantity of clothing now and not so much the quality!
Though I exist in combat shorts, and band/software company t-shirts, so I’m probably not qualified to even think about fashion 🙂
@jsnell am I too late to suggest that incrementing could lead to an Overcrowded House?
I'm Maurice Kelly, a software engineer who sold his soul to management. To redeem myself I try to make music, but in reality what I'm doing is making a big pile of synthesisers all in one place and changing how they are connected on a regular basis.
